Dye-saster

One of these things is not like the other... (remember that Sesame Street song?)

Norm thought I should go more red the next time I colored my hair, so instead of the usual Light Brown, I bought Light Auburn Brown.

It looked nice enough on the package, but I should have taken a clue from the words underneath Light Auburn Brown, as in CHERRY Praline.

As in FUCHSIA, actually.  It is hard to capture in a picture, but believe me, when the light hits it, it's fuchsia.

So I am getting used to my pink hair this morning.  Wondering how it will fade, as it always does.  To a brighter pink (nooooo!) or straight to brassy brown (one can only hope)?

Oh well, it's close to Valentine's Day.

I'm actually LOVING that hair color, only I wish I could see your purdy face and eyes in the picture too!!

Hey - - - great minds think alike! I did a post back about a year ago with "One of these things just doesn't belong here" and even found the youtube of the Sesame Street song to put on the post!

Oh, and while I CAN see the cherry overtones in your lovely auburn hair - - -there is a gal who comes in our library ALL THE TIME that has HOT RASPBERRY PINK over blond hair. You look NOTHING like that!

Red fades quickly. Wash it daily in hot water and in about a week, I'll wager that most of the fuscha will be gone.

Glad you're rolling with it. I tend to freak out a little if my hair isn't quite right.

Not to worry, I've done that before. You can color over it right away. Happens all the time. If you're unsure, there's typically a 1-800 number on the box you can call. I love red! :D

I think it looks awesome really! I adore red hair color but have not had luck with it lasting too long.

I have postbox red streaks put through my hair all the time and last time I was at the hairdresser I had purple streaks shoved in there ...bold colour is very hot right now.

When Little P was born I had hot pink and purple put through my hair to celebrate. Miss P lived interstate then and when I got off the plane I swear I thought she was going to go into labour right there in the airport.

You're not the only one that has happened to :) I've had a mishap or two coloring my hair!

Dont feel bad, give it a few days. This is my mom's hair color and everytime she applies it, I always have to laugh at the color. But then it always turns out OK in a day or so

Love it! I got mine cut short today and decided to go back on Friday for base and highlights...Splurging cause I normally do it myself. Enjoy your pop of color in these cold winter months!

I'm not brave enough to do it myself, but that color is pretty. Just not what you were going for, so you were a little bit "surprised".

Actually, I think it looks great! Even having been a natural redhead (before my hair changed its mind and decided to add some gray and fade altogether), that first shot after dyeing is a shock - even to me. I guarantee in two washes, it will calm down and look as you expected.

...if anyone can "rock" that color, you can! Smile Like you didn't notice a change, lol!
